Size and placement
Carson measures about 5.9 in wide by 8.2 in deep. The Rust finish stands 17.7 in tall and the Black finish 18.1 in tall. For a front door, mount one sconce on the handle side, or a matching pair on both sides, with the center of the fixture roughly at eye level. On a garage or long wall, space multiple sconces evenly for a warm, rhythmic wash of light.

Installation and care

Is a bulb included? No. Choose any E26/E27 bulb up to 60W. An Edison style filament bulb gives the classic lantern look.
Can I use it indoors? Yes. Carson works just as well in a hallway, mudroom or industrial style living space.
Does it need an electrician? It is a hardwired fixture, so we recommend a licensed electrician for installation.
Will it fit your room?
Beside a front door, choose a fixture about one-third the door's height and mount it so the center sits at eye level. Space path lights 6–8 ft apart for an even wash of light.
