Approximately 28 cm (11 in) across the shade and 47 cm (18.5 in) tall. That footprint sits comfortably on a nightstand, console or low shelf without crowding it. Leave a little clearance around the shade so the paper reads as a full glowing sphere rather than a half-lit one.

Handmade washi rice paper shade over a wire frame, with a slim black metal tripod base. Because each shade is folded by hand, small variations in the pleating are normal and part of the character.

Dust the paper gently with a dry, soft brush or a hairdryer on a cool, low setting. Avoid water, damp cloths and cleaning sprays on the shade. Wipe the metal base with a dry cloth.
